| Field notes | Number of roots: 22 (spines on the surface), 48cm long and 3cm thick. Stem 1275cm long and 10cm thick with a smooth surface. Crown: 7 leaves, petioles round in cross-section. Leaves: sheath length 10cm, petiole length 18cm, lamina length 282cm and 162cm wide. Pinnae number: 42, regularly distributed with a hairy surface on the back of the pinnae. 5 inflorescences: peduncular bract length 16cm and 6cm wide, peduncle bract length 12cm and 5cm wide (both woody), peduncle length 13cm, rachis length 20cm and unbranched. Found in subunit 051. |
