| Field notes | Stem 35cm long and 3cm thick, 2-3cm long white spines on the stem. Crown: 5 leaves, petioles round in cross-section. Leaves: sheath length 8cm, petiole length 12cm, lamina length 50cm and 30cm wide with spines on the surface. Pinnae: 28, regularly distributed. 3 infructescences: fruit length 9cm and 2cm wide, 19 smaller seeds inside the fruit, 2-3cm long spines on the fruits. 2 duplicates. |
