| Field notes | Cespitose, stem covered in old leaf sheaths, to 40 cm, 0.8 cm diam. Lvs 10 in crown, all bifid; sheath 11 cm; petiole 60 cm; rachis 20 cm; lamina 56x27 cm. Petiole, rachis and proximal abaxial side of pinnae light brown tomentose. Infructescence spicate; peduncle 14 cm; rachillae 4 cm. Sheath fibrous on margins. No spines except at margins of apex of lvs |
