| Field notes | Cespitose on terra firme near high watermark on peninsula on eastern edge of Laguna Grande. Fruits light green. Pigeons eat the fruit. Classified together with Bactris gasipaes because the fruits are similar. Siona: Su-te-ëne- (Su-te = Pigeon = Geotrygon montana). |
