Field notes Terrestrial giant herb with 30-40 cm stem, 5 cm diam. Leaves ca. 8, erect. Inflorescence white in axil of lower leaves. Collected in quadrat no. 1, subunit 1-10. Leafbuds extrated and used as medicin for stings of a spider which looks like a Tarantula and lives in the palm thatch of houses, but it is reddish in contrast to the Tarantula. The leafbud is chewed and swallowed to avoid the pain from the bite of the spider.
