| Field notes | Solitary, stem 4 m tall, 4 cm thick, 16 lvs in crown, erect; petiole 100 cm; lamina 140 x 90 cm; 10 pinnae per side, regularly inserted in one plane. Inflorescence infrafoliar; peduncle 45 cm; rachis 30 cm; rachillae 20, proximate ones branched. Fruits obovoid, 10 x 6 mm; entire inflorescence covered with brown indumentum.
