| Field notes | Caespitose stems 10 - 12 m tall, 12 cm diam., with perpendicular conical spines along the basal 2 - 3 m. Lvs. 4 - 5- spreading. Inflorescence 1 m long, interfoliar. In Mauritia swamps. n.v. achuanaro, used for house posts, fruit edible. |
