Blade 100x100 cm with 22 pinnae per side, arranged in one plane on each side. Inflorescence solitary at each node below crown shaft, upper one an unopened bud, next one down a just opened pistillate inflorescence, next one down an old staminate inflorescence that had just dropped its flowers. 2100 m altitude. This is the same as #6502 but a larger (older) individual - the two would more or less represent the size range in the population. This species is common and abundant at this locality, especially at 1800-2000 m altitude, but also found higher up. There are many seedlings and juveniles of all ages. |
