| Field notes | Stem solitary, 3.5 m tall, 4.5 cm diam. Lvs. ca 15, petiole plus sheath ca. 60 cm, rachis 86 cm, pinnae 14-16 on each side, regularly arranged in one plane. Inflorescence erect. Flowers white (seen on other indiviudal). Very abundant on both sides of the cordillera at 1300-1700 m elevation (summit). Reproducing vigorously with abundant individuals in all size classes. |
