| Field notes | Solitary. Stem 7 m tall, 8 cm in diam, grey. Leaves 4, in several planes; sheath 90 cm long, 6.5 cm in diam at middle, greyish-green with ferrugineous pubescence with no grooves nor warts; petiole 22 cm long, 2.5 cm in diam at apex, terete, adaxially with a smooth, glabrous, glossy area near base, otherwise striate; rachis 150 cm long; pinnae 22 on each side, regularly arranged in one plane, undivided, pendulous, apical pinnae united, up to 43 cm wide. Inflorescence infrafoliar, 8 - 10 per node. Fruits green. Duplicates: AAU, QCA, COL. Dupl. 3. |
