Field notes Solitary, stem 16.7 m tall, 20 cm diam. at base, 16 cm diam. at apex, green. Leaves 8; sheath 110 cm long, 9 cm wide at apex, light brown; petiole 75 cm long, 4 cm wide at apex, green, adaxially flat; rachis 140-148 cm long, green; pinnae 89-96 cm per side, irregularly arranged in groups of 2-8, inserted at different angles, the proximal pinna of each group erect, the distel one pendulous, the apical1/3 of each pinna pendulous. Inflorescence interfoliar. The largest bud 183 cm long. Only one infructescence: peduncle 179 cm long, 3 cm wide at apex, compressed dorsiventrally, with thick brown tomentum; prophyll 44 cm long; peduncular bracts 5, 79-175 cm long, cm wide at middle, at 6th peduncular bract 45 cm long, inserted 145 cm above peduncle base; rachis 100 cm long, green; rachillae 45, the longest at the middle, 51 cm long, branched 2 times branches. Fruits globular, inmature.
