| Field notes | Scandent and climbing in shrubby vegetation. Stem 5 m long with leaves inserted distichuously ca. 20 cm a- pent. Leafshanths covering the stem and clasping one another, exposed part of leafsheath with leavy spines. Infuctescence emerging from a leafsheath ca. 10 leaves from the shoot apex. |
