| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem procumbent, and rooting at one node. Stem 120 cm long, 1 cm in diam, internodes green, smooth 3-10 cm long, nodes clearly ringed. Lea- ves 4 , spreading. Sheath 10-15 cm long, green, smooth, encircling the stem, petiole 18 cm, round, smooth, bla- de 50x35 cm with 2x4 pinnae. Pinnae smooth, soft sig- moid. Inflorescence infra foliar, erect with hanging rachillae. . |
