| Field notes | Stem solitary 2 m tall, 15 cm diam, covered with per- sistent sheaths. Leaves c. 20, erect; pinnae slightly grouped and all in one plane. Staminate inflorescense pendulous, strongly scented; peduncle 57 cm long. Rachis 150 cm long, prophyll 40 cm, peduncular bract 100 cm. |
