| Field notes | Stem solitary, procumbent and rooting at first, then erect, 2.4 m long, 2 cm diam., green, with prominent nodes 10 cm apart. Leaves 3, erect, entire; sheath 25 cm long, green, closed, petiole 24 cm long, round, green; blade 70 x 28 cm. Inflorescences infrafoliar, erect in bud and in fruit, solitary at the nodes, pistillate; peduncle 33 cm long , green with a prophyll and 5 peduncular bracts; rachis 1 cm; rachillae 3 -5, to 10 cm long, pendulous. |
