| Field notes | Stem solitary, erect, 8 m tall, 8 cm diam.; leaves 20; sheath open, fibrous, 20 cm long; petiole 69 cm long, 2 - 4 cm diam., reddish above, green below; rachis 142 cm long, reddish above; pinnae 8 - 10 per side, lower one 62 x 4, middle 81 x 9, upper 44 x 7. Inflorescences interfoliar, erect; peduncle 23 cm long, 5 cm diam. at base, 2,5 cm at apex; rachis 9 cm long; rachillae 16, 26 - 39 cm long, 13 mm diam., erect, whole inflorescence brown; prophyll 50 cm long, 6 cm diam., woody; peduncular bract inserted 6 cm above base, 55 cm long. |
