| Field notes | Stem cespitose, 1 cm diam., 3 m tall, spineless, nodes ca. 8 cm apart, upper part of stem covered with old wilted leafsheaths. Leaves 10, sheaths of lower leaves open to the base, ca. 15 cm long, sheaths of upper leaves closed and encircling the stem for ca. 2 cm above .The departure of the petiole; petiole, 35 cm long, terete with very small groove above, rachis ca. 30 cm, rounded below, ridged above, pinnae 5 per side, grouped, sigmoid. Inflorescence infrafoliar, pendulous ca. 10 cm long. |
