| Field notes | Solitary. Stem 10 x 3 cm (acaulescent); leaves 5, rosulate, spreading; sheath and petiole 67 cm long, base rounded below and channelled above with rounded margins, petiolar part subterete; rachis 47 cm long; pinnae ca. 9 per side, unequal with 3 - 5 primary nerves, sigmoid, basal pinna 20 x 6 cm, middle pinna 21 x 3 cm, apical pinna 15 x 6 cm. Inflorescence interfoliar, erect at anthesis; peduncle 35 cm long, dorsiventrally compressed, prophyll 5 cm long, peduncular bract inserted near base of peduncle, 13 cm long, rachis 20 cm long, 7 mm diam., reddish just before anthesis. |
