| Field notes | Trunk solitary, c. 15 m tall, 39 cm diam. at base, 44 cm diam. at middle, 40 cm diam. at apex, supported by 150 cm cone of densely-spaced black stilt roots. Leaves c. 5; petiole 7 cm long; rachis 3.8 m long with 48 pinnae per side. Inflorescences infrafoliar, bud erect; infructescence peduncle 63 cm long, 18 cm wide at base, 10 cm wide at apex, rachis 130 cm long, rachillae 4- branched proximally, simple distally. Immature fruits green. |
