| Field notes | Stem solitary, 10 m tall, 10 cm diam. at apex, supported by a 2 m high cone of thick, brown, spiny, stilt roots. Leaves 4; crownshaft grey-green, 130 cm long; petiole 15 cm long; rachis 153 cm long with 21 pinnae per side divided into (from base)1-2-3-5-5-7-7-7-8-8-8-7-8-7-6-6-6-4- 3-1-2-1 segments, these abruptly pendulous at apex. 3 infrafoliar immature infructescences with persistent prophyll and 3 peduncular bracts. |
