Crown on a c. 1 m long, green crown shaft, with 7 leaves spreading from the center, each leaf with 2 x 16 pinnae, the base of the pinnae twisted on the rachis, and the "blade" of the pinna divided into several segments standing out in fan-shaped manner in one plane, perpendicular to the rachis. Inflorescence buds maturing gradually below the crown shaft, the upper ones erect and still enclosed in the bracts, the 3 lower ones expanded about 1 m below the base of the crown shaft; The uppermost expanded inflorescence with male flowers open and female flowers in bud, the middle one with young fruits and the lowest one with almost mature fruits; the peduncle with 12 scars from bracts, 30 cm long; the rachis 30 cm long and bending downwards, the rachis gives rise to 31-38 side-branches of which the 13-17 basal ones bifurcates immediately, and the 18-22 apical ones are unbranched, the length of the inflorescence branches varies from 100 to 140 cm, the rachis and branches are cream coloured in their flowering stage and turn green in the fruiting stage.
