| Field notes | 1-3 m tall; stem erect or sometimes creeping and forming adventitious shoots that form new plants, 2 cm diam., base with cone of adventitious roots. Leaf sheaths cylindrical, 35 cm long; leaves separated by up to 15 cm long segments. Leaves 70 cm long. Inflorescence infrafoliar, inserted 35-70 cm below leaves. Growing on terra firme. |
