Field notes Secoya: "Kan-hé-tó". A giant tree, trunk 80 cm x 25 m, base with buttreses? reaching 2 m up the trunk and 3 out from its center, bark yellowish brown with many lenticels. Fruits sticking up above the crown on relatively short branchs (20-30 cm). Uses: Wood for plank or for a canoe that may last only as long as a year since the wood is soft. The fruits have no honey as 4839, but when they fall to the ground they may be eaten by a variety of animals.
