Field notes Secoya: "Ní-ní". Stem to 30 or 40 cm tall. Several leaves in rosette, inflorescence intrafoliar, red with white flowers, fruits green. Uses: For roofthatching. The thatching with leaves of this species is said to be better than that of "Canambo" (= Scheelea sp.).
