| Field notes | A tree to 10 m tall. Pods to150 cm long, round with longitudinal ridges. Cultivated near houses for its fruits. The seeds are surrounded by a sweet white pulp which is eaten. A branch is cut of the tree, the fruits are harvested and the branch left to dry to become firewood. |
