| Field notes | Siona: Hua-dó. A caespitose herb, entirely grasslike apart from the conspicuous white flowers with exerted? yellow anthers. Subterranean bulbs red with the color of red onions. Uses: Used against intestinal worms in dogs. The bulb is mashed and given to the dog. Information by Julio Criollo, schoolteacher in the comunity and son of the Siona-chief Victoriano Criollo. |
