| Field notes | Trunk ca 6 m tall, 40 cm diam. Crown of many palmeately nerved giant leaves. Inflorescences originating among the lower leaves, with a main horisontal branch ang?? hanging secondary branches which carries the fruits. Only fruits collected. Uses: The "colonos" along the road at this point did not know the use of this palm, but a small boy knew the spanish name Morete |
