Crown of 12 leaves, each with a 45 cm long, castaneous sheath, forming a crownshaft; petiole 5 cm long; blade 190 x 180 cm with 42 pinnae on each side. Young, unespanded inflorescence inserted just below crown, erect. Uses: According to unknown local bypasser?, the hart? of this palm is eaten. |
