| Field notes | A solitary tree in remains of montane forest along small rivulet in area otherwise cleared for pasture. Bare without special adventitious ???. Trunk erect, 450 cm high, 4.5 cm in diam throughout, green, smooth with leafscars spaced at 25 cm intervals basally; internodes reduced to 2 cm apically. Crown of 4 leaves, each with a 40 cm long closed sheath forming a slender crownshaft; petiole 15 cm long; blade 135 x 100 cm; pinnately divide but the pinnae not of the same ??????. Four (4) expanded and a few unexpanded inflorescences inserted just below crown; fruits green turning orange at maturity. Uses: No uses or local names noted. |
