Trunk erect, 270 cm high, 10 cm diam, light brown, smooth with densely inserted leafscars. Crown of ca 13 leaves; sheats 40 cm long, 10 cm covering imature inflorescences, and forming a bu?ging part section; petiole 30 cm long; blade230 x 120 cm, pinnately with the pinnae unequally wide. Inflorescence inserted 15 cm below crown, rachis ca 1 m long, 3 x divided; ?? 1st or?? side branches; lowest side branch with 6 2nd ord?? side ?????; lowest ???? side branch with ???. 10 3rd order? side branches. Formerly used for thatching houses according to the wife of the owner of the hotel in Baeza. |
