| Field notes | "Quichua: Chontarucupaju. Scandent among shrubs. Uses: Against ""Herpes Virus"". Preparation: The bark is scraped off and placed in a pot with a little water. It is then mixed with tobacco (""tabaco de mazo"") and heated. The brew is placed on the affected place twice daily. The treatment with this plant is slow and more than five treatments are necesary." |
