| Field notes | Quichua: Uru pichanga. A small shrub in virgin tall forest on terra firme. Uses: Contraceptive. Preparations: The leaves are mixed with the ground seed of Aguacate (Balslev-2874) and the wood of Cruz-caspi (Brownea sp. not collected). This mixture is boiled in water and the drink is taken by the women once a day for 3 consecutive days to produce a complete sterility (not time limited). |
