Field notes "Quichua: Urcusindi. A large buttressed tree in virgin forest. Trunk ca 70 cm in diameter, 25 m high. Uses: Against diareha. Preparations: The bark is scraped of the trunk and the buttreses on the side of the tree which is hit by the sun and the one which is in shade (i.e. the eastern and western sides). The scraped of bark is then boiled in water until most of the water has evaporated and this mass or liquid is drunk or eaten. The bark of ""Guajaba"" should also be in the mixture.Contra indications: Not known."
