| Field notes | Quichua: Piton. Tree to 7 meters with leaves crowded near branch tips. Fruits originating on the trunk. Uses: Against stomac pains and afterbirth treatment. Preparation: The inner bark is taken and boiled in water and this drink is taken by the sick person or by women 8 days after having given birth. This way the women will romit and clean her stomack. |
