| Field notes | Climbing palm. Stem incl. sheaths 5 cm in diameter. 10 m tall, leaves all along stem. Leaves ca. 30. Leaf sheath with brown spines turning black. Petiole 25 cm with spines in linear groups. Lamina 240x100 cm. 45 pinnae pr side, longest (nr. base) 55 cm, shortest (nr. top) 12 cm, all arranged in one plane, apical cirrus 80cm lnfl. emerging from leaf sheath, outer bract 46 cm spiny.
