Field notes Liana palm 7 m high. Stem 2 cm diam. Sheath- spines flat, yellow-green horisontal to 4 cm long. Lvs ca 20; petiole c. 10 cm with yellow brown spines. Petiole-spines perpendicular. Lamina up to 130 x 50 cm, pinnae to 50 per side, pointing in different directions, irregularly inserted. Cirrus inserted on side of sheath to 130 cm long. Inflorescence emerging from leaf sheath, to 1 m (+) long with 4-5 rachillae that are divided once. Inflorescence with 1 m long cirrus at apical rachilla
