Field notes Clustering understory palm, to 5m tall, stem diameter 4cm, internodes brownish-green, 15cm, nodal scars brown, 1cm, 7 leaves in crown, crownshaft present, ca 1m, leaf sheaths 50 cm, pale green with rusty red indumentum, leaf 2m long, petiole 50 cm, rachis ca 140 cm, 19 pinnae per side, regular, in one plane. Inflorscences infrafoliar, branched to 2 orders, young fruits green-red.
