| Field notes | Solitary, cespitose, spineless understory palm with few visible roots. Stem, green to brown, smooth, to 30 cm long, 0,8 cm thick. No crownshaft. Leaves 7 per stem, inserted along the stem and being spaced: sheath open; rachis 7 cm long, with no spines; Lamina entire, flat, bifid with one segment per side. Inflorescence interfoliar; peduncular bract 7 cm long with less than 1 cm long brown spines. Fruits green to brown. |
