| Field notes | Cespitose understory small palm with few visible roots. Stem 10-20 cm long and 1 cm diam. Crownshaft absent. Leaves 7 per stem; sheaths open, short; petiole round in cross-section; rachis 90 cm long; lamina entire 50 cm wide, 30 cm long, flat, with 1 segment per side. Fruiting, infructescence interfoliar; peduncular bract 10 cm, brown, woody; peduncle 10 cm, <1 cm thick; rachis 4-5 cm long, 0.5 cm thick. Fruits green, 1.5 cm long. |
