| Field notes | Caespitose palm in cluster of five stems, 10 m tall. With 5 leaves attached over a distance of 100 cm, leaf sheath 95 cm, encircling the stem for 75 cm; peduncle 16 cm; rachis 155 cm; pinnae in groups: 9,8,8,6,4,3,10 on one side (counted from the base); first pinnae in each group erect, the rest in one (horizontal) plane. One exposed inflorescences and one inclosed in peduncular bract. Exposed inflorescences with unopened male flowers and small fruits; peduncular bract 54 cm long, peduncle 12 cm, rachis 16 cm - with 48 rachillae. |
