| Field notes | Juvenile solitary palm. Stem 1 m tall. Eight leaves, petiole and leaf sheath 145 cm, rachis 300 cm, pinnae numbering 130 per side arranged in groups of 1-4, the pinnae of each group points in various direction, giving the leaf a fuzzy appearance. Nearby some tall individuals of Syagrus sancona, 10 m trunk and up to 3 interfoliar pendent infructescences. Vernacular name: Cuya (Quichua) - the name refers to the tall Syagrus, but the juvenile was indicated by the informant to belong to the same species).
