| Field notes | Caespitose (?) understory palm. Stem 3 m tall, DBH: 1.5 cm. With 10 leaves. Very common on terra firme. Vernacular name: Macha turuji (Achuar). Leaves used for thatch, said to last 10 years. Informants: Alfonso and Luis Antonio Mashient (achuar). |
