| Field notes | Caespitose understory palm. Stem 7.8 m tall, DBH: 7 cm. 11 leaves, leafsheath 40 cm, encircling the stem at forming a brown somewhat messy crownshaft, petiole 50 cm, rachis 285, pinnae 2 x 48 - all in one plane and equally distributed along the rachis. Infructescence infrafoliar, orange-colored with black fruits, peduncle 33 cm, rachis 42 cm, with 77 rachillae. |
