| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 130 cm tall, diam 0.8 cm, glabrous bamboo-like with conspicuous notes. 11 entire leaves. Two interfoliar infructescences. On terra firme. Vernacular name: Sapap (Achuar), that name also given for other species of Geonoma. Informants: Carlos and Alfredo Mashient. |
