| Field notes | Vegetation: shrub paramo on rocky slopes, and pockets of dwarf bosque andino. Perennial herb with thick semi-succulent bullate leaves, discolorous, dark green above, yellowish green below; sepals red with yellowish inner faces, petals yellow, anthers yellow. Locally common in open areas amongst rocks and shrubs. |
