| Field notes | Vegetation: dwarf bosque andino remnant surrounded by cultivation and pasture. Tree, 5 m x 20 cm, bark smooth, various shades of grey, white and pink in ± horizontal bands; leaves coriaceous, very discolorous, dark bottlegreen glossy, almost black above, much paler and dull below; fruits olive-sized with very hard stone-like seeds, exocarp mid-green flushing purple-red with age, fruit apex ± truncate. Area of taller bosque. Apparently rare |
