| Field notes | Vegetation: bosque seco with Pithecellobium, Geoffroea & Piscidia. Elegant shrub with fairly compact crown, 3 m x 20 cm diam., bark dark greyish black with white surface on peeling sections and on chunkier fissured bark of trunk; leaflets mid-green; calyces and corollas yellowish green, filaments white, with age fading to pink, anthers yellow. Several bees and one hummingbird in attendance at 1 pm. Locally frequent |
