| Field notes | Vegetation: bosque humedo, secondary scrub and cultivtion. Tree, 6 m x 25 - 30 cm diam., bark slightly vertically fissured, shades of pale brown and greyish orange, open emergent crown with erect terminal branchlets; leaves coriaceous, mid-green glossy above, much paler whitish green below, held erect; flowers slightly sweetly perfumed, buds globose, red glossy, petals white, anthers yellow, carpels pale yellowish green. In bosque. Rare. |
