| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 1.5 m high, 2 cm thick. Roots few visible. Leaves 11; sheath 15 cm long, closed; petiole 41 cm long; rachis 28 cm long; lamina entire, 50 cm long, 22-23 cm wide, flat. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 15 cm long, 1.3 cm wide, herbaceous; peduncle 15 cm long; rachis 7 cm long; rachillae 10, 13-19 cm long. Flowers green. Silica gel sample taken.
