| Field notes | Solitary palm. Stem 4 m high, 4 cm thick. Leaf sheath 27 cm long, open, with 1 cm long yellow spines; petiole 16 cm long; rachis 66 cm long; lamina pinnate, bushy; pinnae 9-10 per side, inserted in groups of 2-3, insertion irregular; basal pinna 18 cm long, 10 cm wide, middle pinna 21 cm long, 9 cm wide, apical pinna 12 cm long, 6,5 cm wide. Inflorescence interfoliar, upright; peduncle 77.5 cm long; rachis 38 cm long; rachillae 27, 11-20 cm long. Flowers purple. Transect: HB 1049 |
